Vesper — Privacy

Vesper collects nothing. There is no account, no server and no analytics — not as a policy we promise to keep, but because the app has no channel to send anything over.

What is stored, and where

Four things are saved, and all four live only on your iPhone, in the app's own storage: the bars you log, the drinks you log at them, the ingredients of a drink if you record them, and any photos you attach. Everything else Vesper shows you — your flavour profile, your streaks, your Passport, every number on every screen — is recalculated from those four each time you open it, and is never stored.

What leaves your iPhone

One thing, and only when you ask for it: the text you type when you search for a bar, together with roughly where you are, sent to the map provider that answers that search. Apple Maps worldwide, and 高德地图 (Amap) inside mainland China — each search is routed by where it happens.

That is the whole list. Nothing you have already logged is ever sent — not a bar, not a note, not a price, not a photo, not a rating.

Location

Vesper asks for your location while you are using it, and uses it once, when you open the log sheet, to put the bar you are standing in at the top of the list. The coordinate is stored with the bar you pick and goes nowhere else. Declining the permission costs you that shortcut and nothing else — you can still search for a bar by name, or type one in.

Photos

If you use Reconstruct a night, Vesper reads only when and where your photos were taken, to work out which evenings you were out. It never reads the pictures themselves, and nothing about them leaves the device. Photos you attach to a drink yourself are copied into the app's own storage and stay there.

Tracking, advertising, children

Your data is yours, and you can take it

Settings → Export produces a single archive holding a JSON file with every drink, bar, note and photo reference, a CSV that opens in any spreadsheet, and the photos themselves. It is made on your iPhone and sent nowhere — where it goes next is entirely your decision. Settings → Erase deletes everything, immediately and locally. There is no copy anywhere else to request, because there is nowhere else.

Diagnostics

Vesper writes ordinary system log lines when something fails. No bar name, coordinate, note or price is ever written into one.

If this changes

If Vesper ever gains a feature that sends something off the device, this page changes before that feature ships, alongside the App Store privacy labels — not afterwards.

清单到此为止。你已经记下的东西永远不会被发出去——酒吧不会，笔记不会，价格不会，照片不会，评分也不会。

定位

Vesper 只在你使用期间请求定位，并且只用一次：你打开记录页时，把你正站着的那家酒吧放到列表最上面。 坐标随你选的那家酒吧一起存下，不去任何别的地方。拒绝这个权限，你失去的只是这个快捷方式—— 你依然可以按名字搜索，或者直接手动输入。

照片

如果你使用「还原一个夜晚」，Vesper 只读取照片的拍摄时间和地点， 用来推断你哪些晚上出去了。它从不读取照片本身，与照片有关的任何信息都不会离开设备。 你自己附加到某一杯酒上的照片会被复制进 app 自己的存储，并留在那里。

追踪、广告、未成年人

数据是你的，你可以带走

「设置 → 导出」会生成一个压缩包：一份 JSON，包含每一杯酒、每家酒吧、笔记和照片引用； 一份任何表格软件都能打开的 CSV；还有照片本身。它在你的 iPhone 上生成，不发往任何地方—— 接下来去哪，完全由你决定。「设置 → 清除」会立刻在本地删掉全部数据。 没有别处的副本可以让你申请，因为根本没有别处。

诊断日志

出错时 Vesper 会写普通的系统日志。酒吧名、坐标、笔记、价格——一律不会被写进去。

如果这一切有变

如果 Vesper 将来有了会把数据发出设备的功能，这个页面会在那个功能上线之前更新， 与 App Store 的隐私标签同步——而不是事后补。
